Nature of Services
The Next Mile Clinic, LLC (The Next Mile) provides mental performance consulting and coaching to individuals, teams, and organizations. These services are designed to help clients optimize mindset, focus, motivation, and resilience in professional, academic, and athletic settings.
The Next Mile does not provide psychotherapy, counseling, or mental health treatment. Although Bridget Montgomery is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the State of Illinois, she provides services solely in a coaching and consulting capacity through The Next Mile. No therapist–client or counselor–client relationship is established through participation in any program, session, or communication with The Next Mile.
If you are seeking therapy or mental health treatment, please contact a qualified mental health professional in your state or call 988 for immediate mental health support.
No Medical or Psychological Advice
Information shared through The Next Mile’s website, social media accounts, emails, workshops, or materials is for educational and performance-enhancement purposes only. It should not be interpreted as medical, psychological, or other professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Always consult with your physician, therapist, or other qualified provider regarding questions about your physical or mental health.
Coaching vs. Therapy
To make this distinction clear:
Coaching & Consulting
-
Focuses on performance, mindset, and achieving specific goals
-
Oriented toward present and future
-
Clients are considered high functioning individuals looking to improve performance
-
No medical record is created
Therapy & Counseling -
Focuses on mental health symptoms and emotional healing
-
Often explores the past and underlying causes
-
Clients may be experiencing clinically significant distress or disorders
-
Protected health information is created and regulated under HIPAA
Engaging with The Next Mile signifies understanding and agreement that services are coaching, not therapy.
Privacy & Confidentiality
The Next Mile respects your privacy and treats all communications with care. However, because coaching is not health care, The Next Mile is not a covered entity under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) of 1996, as amended, and your information is not protected under HIPAA privacy laws.
Please refer to The Next Mile’s Privacy Policy.
